No Blog Needed Affiliate Marketing

I got my start in affiliate marketing by creating a niche blog. Blogging is one of the easiest online businesses to start. However, it is very time-intensive.

You have to spend the bulk of your time creating content in the form of writing blog posts. For some affiliate marketers, this is not a large issue.

Yet, if you do not want to write blog posts, there are various ways to do affiliate marketing without creating a blog.

One of those ways is to create a sales funnel. A sales funnel is an effective strategy for promoting affiliate products.

The #1 Online Business Model That Doesn’t Require a Blog

What is a Sales Funnel?

A sales funnel is a website but unlike a niche blog, it doesn’t require you to write content on it to receive free traffic.

The most basic type of sales funnel is the two-page funnel. This is made up of a landing page (squeeze page) and a thank you page (or bridge page.)

The flow of this type of funnel is pictured below:

This simple type of funnel works extremely well for promoting affiliate products. Let’s break down each section of the funnel.

The Squeeze Page

This is your main landing page. It is referred to as a squeeze page because the goal is to capture your visitor’s contact information.

A typical squeeze page will offer something for free in exchange for a visitor’s contact details.

This free incentive is called a lead magnet and it can be anything such as a free ebook, video, email course, discount code, etc.

When anyone submits their contact details they are directed to your thank you page and also added to your email database.

The key to a squeeze page is to keep it simple. Limit the amount of text on the page and have a strong call-to-action such as filling out a form or clicking a button.

Thank You Page (or Bridge Page)

On this page, you have the opportunity to introduce your visitors to the affiliate product that you’re promoting.

One of the ways to do this is to have a video of yourself talking about the product. You can share your personal experience using the product.

If you aren’t comfortable being in front of the camera, you can create a faceless recording.

There is also the option to not use video at all and have all text on your page explaining the benefits of the product.

Finally, you should have a call-to-action button on the page so that your visitors know what to do next which is to click on the button that is your affiliate link.

Your Email List

One of the most valuable parts of your funnel is your email list. As your visitors go through your funnel, some will buy the product you’re promoting and some will not.

However, everyone that confirms their email address are now a part of your list. Therefore, you have their permission to continue sending them email messages.

I use the AWeber email service as it has an autoresponder. That means I can create pre-written messages that send out at specific times.

These messages help to automate the entire selling and converting of the affiliate product you’re promoting.

That means that your only concern will be to keep sending targeted leads to your sales funnel.

Free Traffic Strategies

Many beginner affiliate marketers struggle with getting free traffic. However, once you’ve learned how to do it, there is no affiliate product that you cannot promote.

There are so many free traffic platforms that you can use to find leads. My recommendation is to pick 1 or 2 strategies and get really good at using them.

For example, two free traffic sources that I am using include YouTube and TikTok. Both are video platforms and both have millions of viewers every single day.

You can receive traffic faster on TikTok than YouTube. YouTube is great for long term traffic in comparison to TikTok.

Those are only two platforms. If you like others like Instagram, Facebook, and so on, use what you like most.

Another great free traffic source is creating a niche blog. Although the title of this post is no blog needed, I wouldn’t completely forget about them.

Almost every affiliate product that I promote has a niche blog that I’ve created to generate free targeted traffic.

Blog traffic is slower to get when you’re first starting out but once it picks up speed, it is a steady stream of long term traffic.

The point of free traffic is to send people to your sales funnel. It is important to spend a little time setting up each of your profiles.

It is a bit different on YouTube as you will need to link to your sales funnel website for each video that you make.

You should add it to all of your video descriptions. On other platforms like TikTok and Instagram, you’ll want to add your sales funnel URL in your bio.

When you create your videos, always let people know that they can get more information by clicking the link in your bio.

Choosing Good Affiliate Offers

Now that you know another way to do affiliate marketing without using a blog, it’s time to choose a good affiliate offer to promote.

My favorite types of affiliate products to promote are those that have either recurring commissions or are high ticket products.

Recurring commissions are commissions that are paid monthly as long as your referrals remain a customer of the product you’re an affiliate of.

High-ticket products are the types of products that are priced anywhere from $1,000 on up.

That means that they also offer high paying commissions. You can find these types of affiliate programs by doing a web search.

Most of these affiliate offers are considered private offers. That means they aren’t connected to any type of affiliate network such as Clickbank, ShareASale, etc.

Once you’ve found a good offer, it is a matter of setting up your sales funnel to get people to click your affiliate link

Summing Up

Maintaining a niche blog isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. A sales funnel is often an ideal solution since it can be set up quickly and traffic can be sent to it fairly quickly as well.

Learning how to set up your own sales funnel website is not difficult. I searched for a training program to learn how to set up a high-ticket sales funnel and found this one.
