How I Went From Zero to Making High-Ticket Affiliate Sales

What is The Home Doctor Guide?

This is a guide that is doctor written and approved that shares information on how to manage most health situations when there is no immediate help on the way.

Think of dire situations where there is no electricity, no running water, and no access to antibiotics, painkillers, etc.

It covers topics such as:

  • 10 medical supplies to have in your home
  • Biggest mistakes you can make in a blackout
  • What happens when you take expired medication
  • 4 antibiotics people stockpile
  • The best natural painkiller
  • and so much more

The book is 304 pages. It is priced at $37 and there is an option to buy the digital copy or add the physical copy for an additional shipping charge.

It also includes two bonuses:

  • Wild Edibles You Can Forage For or Find Around Your House
  • Natural Healing Secrets of Native Americans

Since it is sold on the Clickbank affiliate network, there is also a 60-day money-back guarantee.

How The Home Doctor Affiliate Program Works

This affiliate program is managed through Clickbank. Clickbank hosts a variety of affiliate products from weight loss to self-help and more. It is a digital product but users can also buy a physical copy of the book.

The commission rate is 75% with an average commission of $35. There are 3 upsells which can mean earning up to $144 per sale.

Since it is sold on Clickbank there is a default 60-day return policy. It’s good to take into account possible refunds.

However, this is a legit product when it comes to the survival niche so hopefully the refund rate is low.

The Best Target Audience

It’s obvious that this guide will work well targeted to the survival niche. What’s really helpful is that on the affiliate program page, they tell you exactly who is best to promote this to. Here is what they recommend:

  • Female: 55%
  • Male: 45%
  • Median age: 55
  • USA: 90%
  • Canada & UK: 5%
  • The rest of the world: 5%

What to Be Aware Of – Affiliate Terms

Something you should also pay attention to is their affiliate terms and conditions. Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • No negative marketing tactics allowed (no scam promotions or negative reviews)
  • No offering cash rebates
  • No cookie stuffing
  • No false endorsements

Those are the things that stuck out to me but be sure to read the entire list on the page. The last thing you want is to be banned from promoting the product.

One of the Best Ways to Promote The Home Doctor

There are so many ways to promote an affiliate product. I got started in affiliate marketing by creating a niche website.

However, another one of my favorite online business models is to create an affiliate sales funnel. A sales funnel works great for promoting affiliate products.

All that it takes is a simple 2-page funnel to do all of the selling and converting for you. A simple funnel is made up of:

  • Squeeze page
  • Bridge page
  • Email list

When put together, it flows like what you see below:

sales funnel flow chart

As you send traffic to your funnel using paid or free methods, visitors land on your squeeze page. This is the page that has a signup form on it to collect visitor’s email addresses.

You also want to offer some type of free gift in exchange for signing up. I usually offer a free ebook related to the product I’m promoting.

In the case of promoting The Home Doctor Guide, I’d probably create an ebook with some home remedies.

After a visitor submits their email address, they are added to your email list. This is important!

Having an email list means that you can continue marketing to the people on your list in the future. You can promote related affiliate products.

The second thing that happens after someone submits the form is that they are directed to the next page of your funnel which is the bridge page.

I also refer to this page as the presell page. That is because you use this page to warm your visitor up by telling them about the affiliate product.

You can write up a product review or post a video review about it. You’ll also want to have your affiliate link on this page in the form of a text link or a button.

When a visitor clicks your affiliate link, they will be taken to the affiliate product sales page. If they buy the product, you make a commission.

Why Your Email List is Important

Not everyone that goes through your funnel is going to buy the affiliate product right away. This is what makes your email list so valuable.

Those that opt-in to your list have given you permission to email them. Therefore, you can continue sending them helpful emails as well as promotional emails with your affiliate links.

How I Run My Online Business

The way I run my online business when it comes to sales funnels begins like this:

Choose a Good Affiliate Offer

I’ll search for an affiliate offer that meets certain criteria. The two criteria I look for is that the affiliate offer has a high commission or a recurring commission.

In some cases, there are affiliate offers that have both! When I refer to high commission, I mean high-ticket commissions of $500 and up.

Here is a screen capture of a high-ticket affiliate commission I’ve made from one company:

The time spent on making high-ticket commissions is the same as for low-ticket commissions. Why not focus on the higher commissions when possible?

Build a Sales Funnel

You have so many options to build your own sales funnel. There is plenty of software out there to help you. Clickfunnels is one of the most popular.

If you want step-by-step instructions on how to build one as well as how to make money with one, follow the same training I did here.

Once you learn how to build one funnel, you’ll have no problem creating multiple funnels in the future.

Sending Targeted Traffic to Your Funnel

Without web traffic, your funnel can’t do its job of selling and converting for you. Some people prefer to send paid traffic to their funnels.

However, I recommend learning how to send free traffic. When you learn how to generate free traffic, you can promote anything.

Free traffic sources that I use and recommend include:

  • YouTube
  • TikTok
  • Blogging

I also dabble a bit with Instagram but it’s more challenging in comparison to using TikTok. YouTube is my favorite but it takes time before your videos begin receiving steady views.

Whatever platform that you use, always link back to your funnel on your profile page or anywhere you can write a description.

When you’re generating traffic, you want to create content related to your niche. For instance, if I were going to use YouTube, I’d create a channel that focused on home remedies that relate to The Home Doctor Guide.

Then I would direct people to my sales funnel. They would all be targeted visitors since they are already interested in home remedies.

Summing Up

The survival niche is a good evergreen niche and The Home Doctor Practical Guide is an excellent product to promote to this niche.

I recommend putting a system into place to automate the selling of the product and a simple affiliate funnel can do that.
